DEFEDGE brings together the skills and experience of three research units belonging to three different Universities:

Unit 1 - LEAD BENEFICIARY - University of Naples Federico II, Naples (UNINA): has a strong experience on the security-by-design paradigm and on its adoption in the secure development lifecycle, with particular reference to threat modeling and countermeasure selection, and on the definition of innovative strategies to ensure security and resilience even in presence of resource constraints. The competences cover both theoretical and experimental aspects at different levels (from IoT to Cloud).

Unit 2 - University of Sannio, Benevento (UNISANNIO): has a consolidated experience in field failures data analysis, performance evaluation, security metrics and industrial systems gained by the participants from EU and national projects will provide a fundamental contribution to data analysis methods to improve situational awareness, attack generation and resilience measures.

Unit 3 - University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli, Aversa (UNICAMPANIA): has a consolidated experience in security assessment techniques and system architectures, automated penetration testing and secure development life cycles. The competences cover many aspects in different research contexts (automation systems, Cloud, web-based systems).
